Sociology Programme

Around the end of 2014 I decided that I wanted to focus my future in the social sciences. So I started to investigate about different careers and then while I was looking for the options, I decided to study sociology at University of Chile. As to manage that I had to do the PSU and achieve a good score. Finally I entered in the career that I wanted at the university that I wanted. So here I am in my second year of sociology. So let me tell you about the study programme of my career…
 This career lasts 10 semesters –five years- and belongs to Social Science Faculty. But this doesn’t mean that the career doesn’t have a relation with mathematics. For example one of the subjects that I have is statistics! But also I have to read a lot in my others subjects like sociological theory, world history and Chilean history among others. For that reason this career has a big workload. In this point I think that the programme needs a change (okay I know that is so important read a lot, but not in excess). I have to say that I really like my faculty but I think that it needs improves. For example many teachers have told us that to obtain a classroom y so complicated because these are lacking.
The teaching methods are mostly expositive but we have some subjects where the methods are more practical.
In this career –over all this semester- we use technology to complement the study. For example in statistics we use a program to analyze database. I feel like a professional hacker when I use it.

A Bad Week

The last week was really bad to me. First, I don’t know why but at the beginning of week I felt so sad and I just wanted to cry. Has it ever happened to you? Whatever, I don’t know what was the reason to be like that, it was so weird. Finally I cried a lot, but I think that was necessary because perhaps I had a stack of emotions and I had to let them out. An Expected Concert

This month is so important to me for two reasons. First because I’m back in my blogger account! Second because at the end of this month will happen something that I’ve waiting for a very long time. Do you want to know what is it? Are you ready? This month José Álvaro Osorio Balvin -dubbed J Balvin- will be present in Santiago! And I’m very excited to go and enjoy him songs. If you don´t know this artist don't worry and let me tell you some things about him. J Balvin is a reggaeton singer born in Medellin, Colombia. He is 33 years old and he became globally known thanks to him 3 rd album called “La Familia”. In the concert of this month he will be present him new album called “Vibras” -that by the way I recommended you- and I’m very excited because I’m going to the show with my friend Gabriela!
